Why finpension made it onto my recommendation list

After 16+ years in Swiss banking and finance, I do not hand out recommendations lightly. finpension is where my own pillar 3a is invested, and the provider I send my clients to when they want their tax-privileged savings to actually work for them.

One honest fee: 0.39%

A flat all-in fee of 0.39% per year for management and custody. Traditional bank 3a funds often charge 0.9% or more. Over 20+ years, that difference alone is worth tens of thousands of francs.

Pension fund conditions for private savers

finpension gives you access to institutional index funds normally reserved for pension funds, with lower taxes on foreign dividends. Up to 99% equity if you want it. Your money, your strategy.

Built for smart tax planning

Pay in up to CHF 7'258.- per year (2026) and deduct every franc from your taxable income. Up to 5 separate portfolios let you stagger withdrawals later and save taxes twice. And since 2026, you can even fill contribution gaps retroactively.

Switching is effortless

Already have a 3a at a bank? finpension sends you the transfer form with a prepaid envelope. No minimum amount, no obligation to pay in regularly, start from CHF 1.-.

How much can I pay into pillar 3a in 2026?

CHF 7'258.- if you have a pension fund, or up to 20% of net income (max CHF 36'288.-) if you are self-employed without one. New since 2026: you can retroactively fill contribution gaps from 2025 onwards.
